Our Story
The Centre for Solutions Journalism was founded with a clear purpose: to amplify voices, break barriers, and create lasting change through the power of journalism and advocacy.
Based in Malawi, we recognized the critical need for media coverage that goes beyond simply reporting problems to highlighting solutions and positive change. Our approach combines traditional journalism with advocacy, civic education, and community engagement to create comprehensive campaigns that drive real impact.
We work at the intersection of media and human rights, believing that informed communities are empowered communities. Through our various programmes, we tackle some of the most pressing issues facing Malawians today, from sexual and reproductive health rights to girl-child education and democratic governance.
Our work is grounded in the principle that every person deserves dignity, respect, and access to their fundamental rights. We strive to be the bridge between communities and the information, resources, and advocacy they need to create positive change.
